It was during a candlelight vigil held for him since he drowned but autopsies are looking into it.

What do you mean by this? give more details to get an exact answer. By the way Bananas don't symbolize Indian culture.It is one of the major fruit consume in the southern part of India & is one of the main offerings to gods in Southern India!
