Why is it that most students from India prefer going abroad for postgraduate studies?

Why is it that most students from India prefer going abroad for postgraduate studies?
Why do students from India prefer doing postgrauate studies from countries like UK, Australia, New Zealand etc rather than going for undergraduate studies as well? What would the prospects be like if one does his/her graduation and postgraduation from a country like UK? Why do students from India prefer doing postgrauate studies from countries like UK, Australia, New Zealand etc rather than going for undergraduate studies as well? Is there any harm to an AVERAGE student's prospects if one decides to do graduation from a country like UK rather than India?

Its just one of those things, life is better on the greener side of the paddock, you know? they want to try new prosperous things.

. ..."most students"? NOT true. You only hear about the ones who DO go abroad. There are more than 80 Million students in India! Most do NOT go out of the country because they can't afford it. But they would like to because the student/teacher ratio is about 400 to 1. owww.

some ppl prefer to change the environment, so that they can utilize their parents money to enjoy and the same time study in abroad

It's the same situation here .. it's because being graduated from a foreign country (especially UK & USA) is a great addition to your CV when applying for a job!
