Hello Everyone, I am a student from India and want to pursue my post graduation in Austria. I have tried to check the websites but, I am unable to get all the info I need. 1. I request a Indian student currently in Austria to contact me. 2. Do international students have a option to work on-campus as in U.S.A or can they take up part time jobs in Austria to support there living expenses. 3. What are the part-time jobs available. 4.Any suggestions regarding the Univ to select ( I am a computer science graduate). 5. I am learning German language, is knowledge of German language mandatory. Every Australian University has a Career Centre. Permission to work in Australia is no longer attached to the Australian student visa if the visa is granted outside Australia. But they can get a new student visa with work rights after they begin their own course at an Australian University. They only required paying AUD $50 application fee for the new visa. This new visa allows the student to work 20hrs a week when school is in and longer during the school holidays.

hi , I am an indian in germany, so I think I would be able to help. on campus jobs in my university are rare I think it is the same in austria as well,german/austrian universities have very limited studenten arbiet austria has uni's and fachhochshule's it depends where you want to study. Part time jobs are hard to come by it also depends on the city that you are living in if you dont get one in university but your resident city is big then your chances are higher. right now austrian universities are only charging 360 euros per sem for fees which is going to be increased shortly. Knowledge of german is very helpfull but austrians have a very accented german , its more closer to bayerisch than higher deutsche. I would still suggest you to try for USA that is the best place to try but if you still want austria then, Veile gluck!!!!!!!!

Yes you can and you will need different things in different states. Go to DMV.gov You will need to take our test and study our driving laws, but they aren't that hard.

At a minimum you'll need your passport and visa. Most states will issue a non-renewable license, assuming you can pass the test, that expires at the same time the visa expires.

Yes. You would need to take your passport along with you to show as photo id proof. Also carry your I94 along with you, since that would show your tenure in the US. Finally you would get the DL issued till the date of validity as shown on your visa. If you have your indian driving license along with you, then you will get a Temp-driving-license where-in you can drive in the US by yourself, with no accompaniment. If you dont have an indian DL along with you, then you will get issued a temp-driving-permit which allows you to drive, when you are accompanied by an authorised US DL holder

Honestly, I think the attacks on Indian Students are from ignorant stupid young men that have been brought up badly by their families. I live in Brisbane, we have a very large Indian community here, many students, many Sikhs (hope I spelt that correctly) and many Indian families and shop keepers. I have never ever seen in my travels around any disrespect directed toward Indian Students or Indian permanent residents of Australia. I think if the ignorant stupid 'lets go out and cause trouble' young men were by themselves, not a thing would happen. They do what they do because they are cowards, ignorant, and if their mothers knew what they got up to, they would be in big trouble.

it is disgusting that the government is bringing so many foreigners into the country. i am by no means a rascist - i accept people of all cultures but what is happening now is over the top, let me explain. 1. the people being brought over from india can barely speak english and have virtually no skills (i'm sorry but im sure we have enough indian cooks in the country) 2. they bring their whole freaking families over from india, marry indians who all move over here. 3. because of the way india is most of the people who come here are arrogant and rude (not everyone but most) they are PUSHY. in 10 years australia will be like america with the hispanic workers doing all the blue-collar work (trademen, cleaners etc) except indian. multiculturalism is a fantastic thing. it brings diversity and we can learn about other cultures but what is starting in australia is going too far! there have been only a few case of violence against indians, and it is perfectly safe in australia.

Stay out of the big cities, come to canberra instead, we have great Universities here and lots of students come here from overseas to study. I work with a girl from Sri Lanka who is studying Accounting at the University of Canberra after doing a year in Sydney and she says Canberra is much better.

I am planning to do my master's degree in India.Can you please let me know what is the average tuition fees for international students in graduate level?How much is the rent for a bachelor apartment in india? USD 10,000 might be the maximum you would have to pay in a year, though most colleges would not charge that much. The most prestigious colleges are the Indian Instituted of Technology(IIT) which are famous all over the world. But they are difficult to get into. Also, in India, colleges specialise in different streams. For eg, IITs teach only science and engineering. Delhi University, Mumbai University and Calcutta University are also well respected all over the world. For engineering again, the Birla Institutes of Technology and Science(BITS) are great, as are the National Institutes of Technology(NITs). yes you can invest in shares, in Pakistan the min amount to invest is Rs. 15000, that is the lowest that you can buy shares for, i don't know the rate in India, but i suppose that they charge withholding tax on your dividend.

Dear you mar bur shares up to 1lacks which are exempt from tax bur for which you must have demat account and PAN number if you do so will to complete your wish. Thanks. Sachin Kothari

You can invest in shares provided you should have valid source to explain the quantum of investment in shares. You open an account with a stock brocking firm, open a demat account and start buying shares.
